Booking an Airline Ticket
There are times you can save by booking a one way ticket. Most airlines do allow booking of one way tickets. The only savings is international travel. You don’t have to fly roundtrip on the same airline if you can book two one way tickets to save on the fare.
Some airlines allow changing a reservation within 24 hours without a charge. Some will allow you to cancel and receive a refund.
Depending on the airline you choose, baggage fees could be $25 or more for the first bag.
Booking one, two or three weeks ahead can result in a savings on the fare. If you book three or four months ahead of time the fares may decrease before your flight. A few airlines will give you a credit of the fare if you request it.
